Revised Dialogue Draft

INT. MASSAGE PARLOR-DAY

Scene opens as the camera focusses in on a man’s face that is resting in the head support of a massage table. A serene look graces the man’s face.

The camera shows PHOEBE giving a massage to the man on the table.

Soft music is playing in the background.

The flicker of candles can be seen dancing against the walls and ceiling.

The massage ends after about one minute into the scene.

PHOEBE
(In a whisper)
Thank you so much for coming. See you soon.

PHOEBE exits room.

Waiting in the lobby is PHOEBE’s husband MIKE. He is smiling and holding a single daisy that is being hidden behind his back.

PHOEBE
(Walking toward him with a flirtatious grin on her face)
Hi sweetie!
PHOEBE leans toward MIKE and gives him a smooch on the cheek.

MIKE reveals the daisy that he was hidden behind his back. He kisses her back and smiles.

MIKE
How is your day going?

PHOEBE
Great, but really busy. I have an hour before my next appointment. Are you hungry?

MIKE
Yes, that is exactly why I came. How does Italian sound to you?

PHOEBE
(Rubbing her stomach)
Perfect. I am starved.

While at the Italian restaurant, PHOEBE pulls out her iPhone and starts to read an email to MIKE.

PHOEBE
(Reading email on phone)
Dear Pheebes-
I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to invite you to the premier of my new movie. It is a romantic comedy about a plumber that falls in love with a millionaire heiress after fixing a leak under her bathroom sink. The female lead actress is a hottie!
It is next Thursday, so get yourself to LA.
See you soon.
Love,
Joey

PHOEBE puts phone on the table and looks up to see MIKE’s reaction.

MIKE
(Smiling)
Sounds like fun!

PHOEBE
I will book our flight when I get home tonight.

MIKE
It will be great to see everyone. It has been way too long.

PHOEBE
(Nodding in agreement)
Yes it has, yes it has.

Camera pans out the restaurant window and fades to black as taxi cabs and other cars drive by.

Blog #2- Writing Goals

Hi again viewers!
This semester I want to really focus on achieving my writing goals. These goals would be variety and organization. When I'm writing i tend to lose train of thought or often at times I get stuck. This is where the goal of organization comes into play. I want to learn different techniques of how to organize my thoughts together so it instead of just listing out my ideas i have a good flow to my writing. I've noticed over time that my writings start sounding very similar and i begin to become very repetitive. With that being said my second writing goal of variety comes into play. I want to play around with new techniques and use different ideas in my class exercises. Also I would like to experiment more with some of the types of writings I haven't used or might not have become as comfortable with in the past. By becoming more familiar and studying these writing styles, I'll be able to prepare myself for bigger assignments next year in college. I hope that this course and my hard work will help me advance as a writer as well as a student.

BLOG 1: Welcome Entry

Welcome everyone!
I'm Briana, a senior at Penfield High School. I try my best to always make the most out of everything even when its rough. I'm very social, often told a little too much at times. My family and friends are the most important part of my life. Without them I wouldn't be who I am today. This is going to be my blog, a free place where I can discuss my thoughts about different writings. I'm not one that does a whole lot of writing in my spare time, it's never been one of my strongest skills which is ultimately why I enrolled myself in creative writing. I hope to become a stronger writer after taking this class and be forced to think more creatively through my writing. Now you know a little more about me, I'll be posting more entries soon!
